Rice-Eccles Stadium, at the University of Utah, began a renovation project to expand the South end zone, connecting it with the grandstands on the East and West sides. As this project began, the need to unify

the stadium’s current wayfinding system became ever more important. Our goal was to develop a master plan document establishing typography, color, visual hierarchy, and a cohesive messaging

system. Site photos taken on game day were used to communicate current flaws to the client. These same photos were then used to show how branding, wayfinding, and concessions could all live harmoniously in the same space by utilizing a consistent hierarchical system.
