Arizona State University (ASU) was developing a brand new athletic facility for its athletes, and wanted to redefine the athletic training experience during the process. The goal was to develop a motivational space for current players and for the space to be used as a recruitment tool for prospective players. The ASU Student Athletic Training Facility graphics system spans from code signage to super graphics inspired by the desert landscape of Arizona and the university brand. The perfect blend of these two inspirations can be seen in the lobby area, which features the actual topographic information of the region to create bold, routed, wood-feature walls, and the ASU logos thoughtfully integrated into each area. Additionally, graphics are integrated into architectural features, and respond to room purposes by differentiating branding, color, and image intensity with overall room saturation.
